" A BATHING APE® × COMME des GARCONS” LIMITED COLLABORATION RELEASE

2020年4月、大阪・心斎橋の御堂筋沿いに「コムデギャルソン大阪店」が移転リニューアルオープンした。この新しい店舗の1階には、「A BATHING APE®」としては初となる「コムデギャルソン」でのショップインショップ、「BAPE STORE®コムデギャルソン大阪」が登場。川久保玲氏が内装を手掛けた同ショップのオープンは日本のみならず、世界を驚かせた。
2020年6月20日(土)、この2つのニューオープンを記念して、「A BATHING APE®」と「COMME des GARCONS」の初となるコラボレーションアイテムが同店限定で発売される。

日本が誇る世界的ファッションデザイナーである川久保玲氏が1969年に初めて設立したブランド「COMME des GARCONS」。1993年に東京からスタートし、ストリートファッションシーンを牽引、今では世界中の幅広い層から支持されているファッションブランド「A BATHING APE®」。そんな両者によるエクスクルーシブなコラボレーションの発売が決定した。本コレクションはそれぞれのブランドの魅力を最大限に引き立たせる、洗練された仕上がりとなっている。
The brand “COMME des GARCONS” was founded in 1969 by worldwide famous Japanese fashion designer, Rei Kawakubo.
Since its inception, the brand has led the street fashion scene and is now supported by fans around the world. An exclusive collaboration between “A BATHING APE®” and “COMME des GARCONS” will be available. The product lineup includes items with a chic and sophisticated finish, setting off the attractions of both brands.

BAPE®を代表するBAPE®オリジナルCAMOに両者のブランディングを落とし込んだコラボレーションカモ「COMME des GARCONS CAMO」は、BAPE®カモフラージュの歴史の新たなる1ページとして、後々まで語り継がれるだろう。さらに今作のためにネームタグも特別に製作、双方のロゴを配したプレミアム感のあるデザインは、本コレクションならではの魅力が詰まっている。
また、90年代の「A BATHING APE®」を代表するアイテムの一つとも言える「圧縮Tシャツ」もリリースされる。手のひらサイズに圧縮されたTシャツはコレクターズアイテムとしてファンも多く、今までにもスプレー缶タイプやブラスタータイプなどさまざまなバリエーションで展開されてきた。そんな「圧縮Tシャツ」が今回はエイプヘッドをかたどり登場する。
The “COMME des GARCONS CAMO”, which is an exclusive, history-making collaboration camo, is fused with the identities of both brands. Even the name tags were specially manufactured for the collaboration to give a premium and exclusive feel.
The compressed “shrink T shirts”, one of the iconic items of “A BATHING APE®” from the 90’s will also be released. The compression tees that are shrunk to fit on the palm have been a collector’s item to many with different shapes from spray cans to blaster guns. For this collaboration, the “shrink T shirt” appear in the shape of the ape head.

「BAPE STORE®コムデギャルソン大阪」限定で展開される本コレクションは、2020年6月20日(土)に発売。
